I thought I was doing well enough just going to meetings\, but one day in my second year of sobriety\, my group asked me if I wanted to be the GSR (general service representative). I thought I had arrived! Well\, I went to the district meeting and had a spiritual awakening. There was a whole other world outside my home group but intimately connected to it.
